BMW Badge Overlay Fitment Guide — E, F and G Series
Find the right SuperWrappz badge overlay for your exact BMW. Your chassis code decides it, not the year on your V5C. This guide gives you the chassis rule and the one measurement that settles it.
The measurement that decides fitment — the quadrant
The overlay is four quarter-pieces laid over the badge's coloured field. So the size that matters is one quadrant, measured from the badge centre outward to the edge of the coloured field, not counting the silver divider lines.
It is a leg from the centre, not a diameter across the badge. Measure one quadrant, match it to the table below, and you have your kit.
You will see 82mm and 74mm quoted for BMW badges. Those are the outer roundel diameters — useful context, but not what the overlay is cut to and not what you should measure.

V1 or V2 — the chassis rule
E and F series take V1. G and U series take V2. The F40 1 Series is the exception — it is an F code but it takes V2.
The year will mislead you, in both directions. Plenty of F-series cars were still being built well after 2017 and they are all still V1 — an X2 F39 registered in 2023 takes V1. And two G-series platforms arrived before 2017 and take V2 — the G30 5 Series from 2016 and the G11 7 Series from 2015. Find the chassis code, then use the tables.

FAQs
My BMW is a 2017 model — V1 or V2?
The chassis code answers it, not the registration year. A 2017 car on an F30 or F10 platform takes V1. A 2017 G-series car takes V2. Find the chassis code first, then match it against the tables above — and if you are still unsure, measure a quadrant.
My car is a 2021 but it is an F chassis. Which one?
V1. F-series badge geometry does not change because the car is newer — an X2 F39 built in 2023 still takes V1. This is the single most common mix-up, which is why the chassis code is the rule and the year is not.
Will V1 fit my F40?
No. The F40 1 Series is the one F-coded chassis that takes V2. V1 is cut for the earlier badge geometry and will not match an F40. Order V2 for the F40.
Do I need to remove the badge?
No. SuperWrappz overlays fit directly over the existing BMW roundel while it stays mounted on the car, so no badge removal is needed at any stage. The original badge stays intact underneath. The full method is in the Installation Guide.
