Seven Round Badges, Not One
The bonnet badge is one of seven
Most people arrive at this page having already done the bonnet. They are stood on the drive in light drizzle, quietly pleased with themselves, and then they notice the boot badge. Then the wheel centres. Then the steering wheel, which is the badge nobody photographs and everybody looks at for the entire journey.
A standard BMW carries seven round badges: bonnet, boot, four wheel centres and the steering wheel. A full SuperWrappz kit is cut for all of them. Compatible with BMW — Not Genuine BMW Parts.

The sizes — and why yours is a radius, not a diameter
This is the part that goes wrong most often, so read it once properly. A SuperWrappz badge overlay is cut to the quadrant. You measure from the centre of the badge outward to the edge of the coloured field, and you stop before the silver divider lines. Do not include the dividers. Do not measure across the badge.
Every size in the two tables below is a quadrant measurement.
V1 quadrant sizes — E and F series
| Position | Quadrant size | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Bonnet | 23mm | The common one |
| Bonnet, size 2 | 20mm | Some chassis run smaller |
| Boot | 23mm | The common one |
| Boot, size 2 | 18mm | Some chassis run smaller |
| Wheel centres | 19mm | Four of them, and they are all the same |
| Steering wheel | 11–12mm | The smallest piece in the envelope |
V2 quadrant sizes — G and U series, plus the F40
| Position | Quadrant size | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Bonnet | 22.5mm | Different badge face, different curvature |
| Boot | 20.5mm | Not the same as the bonnet |
| Wheel centres | 16mm | Noticeably smaller than V1 |
| Steering wheel | 12mm | No room for approximation |
Context only, never the number you order by: 82mm and 74mm are the outer roundel diameters of the bonnet and boot badges. Useful for identifying a badge across a car park, useless for choosing a kit. If a seller has quoted you 82mm and nothing else, they have sold you a circle and hoped.
V1 or V2 — the chassis code decides, not the year
V1 is cut for E and F series. V2 is cut for G and U series, plus the F40. That is the whole rule, and it is a chassis rule. Seventeen V1 chassis were still being built well past 2017, and two V2 chassis were on the road before it.
| Car | Chassis | Built | Takes |
|---|---|---|---|
| X2 | F39 | Including 2023 cars | V1 |
| 5 Series | G30 | From 2016 | V2 |
| 7 Series | G11 | From 2015 | V2 |
| 1 Series | F40 | 2019 onward | V2 |
| 3 Series | E90 or F30 | Any year | V1 |
Find yours on the BMW badge overlay fitment guide, which lists the chassis codes against the quadrant sizes. Where the year on the V5C says one thing and the chassis code says another, the chassis code wins.
Quadrant kit or tint — two different jobs
A quadrant kit changes the colour of the roundel. A tint covers the badge face in one piece, which is what people want when the roundel underneath is faded, marked or de-laminating and they would rather it went quiet than colourful.
The 9-piece tint set covers front, rear, all four wheel centres and the steering wheel — seven pieces, plus two spares. The 2-piece is front and rear only. Three finishes: Light Smoke, Dark Smoke, and gloss black. Tints are cut V1-compatible for E and F series roundels, and you check them against the sizing image on the listing rather than a quadrant figure.
Sixty-plus colours, and the ones people actually pick
Across 107 published products there are more than 60 colours and finishes. In practice most orders land in one of four groups.
- Gloss — Black & White, Black & Red, Black & Blue, Full White, Black & Gold
- Carbon — Black & Red, Black & Blue, Black & Silver, White & Black, Full Dark Grey
- Chrome and matte — Chrome Silver Mirror, Chrome Gold, Chrome Rose Gold, Black & Dark Grey Matte
- Loud, on purpose — Full Orange Fluorescent, Full Green Fluorescent, Full Pink Gloss, and the flags — Ireland, Spain, Germany & Belgium, UK, USA & France
To see the lot against your own paint, the colour finder is built for exactly that. The V2 range sits in G-SPEC, the V1 range in YOUNGTIMER.
If your measurement does not match the chart
It happens. Badges get replaced, cars get imported, someone has been in there before you with a heat gun and opinions. Send your quadrant measurements through the support page and we cut custom sizes, or add the custom re-cut add-on to your order. Every kit is cut to order in Birmingham from premium 3M cast vinyl, so a non-standard size is a different cut file, not a different factory.
Fitting, removal and delivery
Printed instructions go in the envelope, the full walkthrough lives on the badge overlay installation page, and the general method is on fitting instructions. Clean the badge with an IPA wipe, dry-fit before you peel, press from the centre outward. The overlay sits on top of the original badge rather than replacing it, and it is designed to be removed cleanly.
