Ten minutes, if you read this first.

INSTALL

Every kit ships with everything the standard install needs — no separate adhesive order, no heat gun for badge overlays, no YouTube rabbit hole required. This page is the walkthrough for people who like knowing what happens before it happens.

Before you start (every kit)

  1. Park somewhere dry. Vinyl and rain have never once cooperated.
  2. Clean the surface you're wrapping and let it dry fully — adhesive sticks to the car, not to whatever the car drove through last week.
  3. Dry-position the piece before you peel anything. The cut file did the hard thinking; your job is lining it up once, not three times.

PATINA & FORGE — Badge Overlay Kits

Time: ten minutes. Tools: none beyond the box. Heat gun: not required for the standard install.

  1. Clean and dry the badge.
  2. Line the overlay up against the badge geometry — it's cut to your chassis's mount, so it only sits right one way.
  3. Peel, place, and press from the centre outwards.
  4. Work the edges down last. Done.

Afterwards it's a car part, not a house plant: jet-wash and automatic-wash tested, no bubbling, no lifting at the edges, no "keep it out of the rain for 48 hours" disclaimer buried in the listing. And if you ever sell the car or change finish, it comes off clean — no adhesive residue argument with the next owner.

LATCH — Key Fob Wraps

Time: about four minutes.

Check which fob you actually have before ordering — the G30-onward Comfort Access Display Key gets its own cut file, not a "one size" fob sticker; everything else 2009-on runs the Standard cut.

  1. Clean the fob shell. It has been in your pocket for years; give it a minute.
  2. Align the wrap to the buttons and cutouts — Display Key wraps clear the screen, Standard wraps don't need to.
  3. Press down section by section. Done before the kettle's boiled.

SPINE — V-Brace Kits (kidney grille surround / vent trim)

Time: under 15 minutes, depending on grille generation. No drilling — nothing permanent about it.

The mounting hardware kit is included by default; skip it only if you're reusing hardware from a previous fit.

  1. Clean the grille surround.
  2. Position the kit over the existing surround — it's die-cut for your grille generation's tooling, not a stretch-to-fit universal sheet.
  3. Fit using the supplied hardware. No modification, no drilling into a factory part.

FLARE — Pin Stripes & Tint Kits

Pin stripes: cut to length per body style (Sedan / Touring / Coupe / Convertible / SAV), so start by ordering the right variant, not by trimming the wrong one.

  1. Clean along the panel line.
  2. Anchor one end, then work along the stripe slowly, pressing as you go.
  3. Straight lines reward patience. Rushed lines get photographed by your mates.

Tint kits: cut per light-cluster shape for your chassis, in Front / Rear / Both options.

  1. Clean the light units.
  2. Align the film to the cluster shape and press outwards from the centre.

Aftercare

  • Wash with a pH-neutral additive — for keeping the finish you just paid for.
  • Badge kits are jet-wash and automatic-wash tested; you don't need to change how you wash the car.
  • FORGE finishes shrug off light swirl marks from a jet wash under normal heat.

If something goes sideways

  • The Adhesive Backup Pack exists "in case the first attempt teaches you something the instructions didn't" — add it at checkout if you know yourself.
  • Ordered the wrong chassis? Returns are accepted unused and unapplied — contact support before install, not after.
  • Anything else: Support. Real UK garage, real people.
